UAE issues remote working Residency visas and Multiple-Entry Tourist Visas

The UAE cabinet has approved of issuing self-sponsored residency and tourist visas. As the world approves of the remote working culture, UAE cabinet in their recent meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the issuance of remote work visa and multiple-entry tourist visa.

The remote work visa will allow employees from across the globe to reside in UAE and work remotely even if their companies are not based in the country. The one-year visa will allow foreigners to enter and work remotely in the country as per the terms and conditions by which the visa is issued. The new scheme aims to support public and private sectors and to enhance the digital skills of the employees to survive in the emerging era of digital world.

The multiple-entry tourist visa has also been approved for all nationalities during the cabinet meeting. The self-sponsored visa enables tourists to enter multiple times and stay in the country for 90 days on each visit. The number of days can be extended for another 90 days as well.

The issuance of the new self-sponsored remote work visa and multiple-entry tourist visa was introduced to boost the different sectors in the country. The tourism sector is likely to benefit greatly from this cabinet decision.
