Instant license facility, an initiative by the Department of Economic Development (DED), enables businesses to secure their commercial licence within five minutes. The service has proved to be greatly beneficial for those planning to start their business in UAE. It reduces the time required for business registration procedures and licence issuance by 90 per cent. The Company’s memorandum of association and the site’s lease contract are not required for the first year.

A trade license is mandatory in UAE, for companies to carry out their trading activities. With the instant license service, business setup process in UAE has become smoother and hassle-free.

Off late, the Business Registration and Licensing (BRL) sector in the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has decided to partner with Emaar Hospitality Group to promote the Instant License service. An expert team from BRL has been mandated the task of training the Front Office Managers at the hotels under Emaar Hospitality Group’s Address Hotels + Resorts and Vida Hotels and Resorts, about the instant license scheme. The aim of the initiative is to spread awareness among guests at hotels, about doing business in Dubai and the government’s diverse schemes to support the same.

The government of UAE takes constant efforts to develop the business environment in the country in order to remain competitive and to make it the most preferred place to live in and work. The recent amendments in various policies and regulations related to doing business proves the same.
